Torch Fever Arrives in Ilkley

So after after all the waiting the flame passed through town. After all the miserable weather we were treated to blue skies, lots of colour and a brief sight of the torch.

The whole thing for me creates mixed feelings, but I've decided to go with the romance and idealism of it all for the next few weeks, so humour me if I get carried away now and again.

Next week I'm taking part in a differnt Olympic torch relay - more of that next week.

Next time I see the flame proper will be in the Olympic stadium to see Jess and FlyMo bring home some bling, can't wait.

Meanwhile sitting down to watch the footy, it reminds me of being 8 and sitting behind the sofa to watch Dr Who.
