In Safe Hands

This gorgeous Little German owl looks up to the human gently holding it, as it prepares to fly away free.

Mario and I met up with blipper GingerNan in Winchester domain, who had four of these little bundles of joy that she has been looking after at her house (she looks after injured birds).

I'd never actually seen an owl in New Zealand before today, and, not only did I see four, but got the privilege to photograph them, and even touch one (they're so delicate and soft).
