Rain clouds over Winterbourne Garden
We went shopping in Birmingham this morning and stopped at Winterbourne House and Garden for some lunch on our way home.
Winterbourne is the botanical garden of the University of Birmingham. The house was built in 1903 for John and Margaret Nettlefold and was bequeathed to the university in 1944. The garden is Grade II listed by English Heritage.
We love visiting these gardens and buy annual membership so that we go along quite often. I think I shall keep posting blips of this spot at regular intervals over the year, to show how it changes with the seasons.
