Where Is Everyone?

A lot of the villages and Bastides that we visited don't have many, or on this occasion any, people walking around. I wonder how many are now taken over with holiday homes?

Coming from a very busy market town it seems strange. Lovely for a break and beautiful architecture and countryside but I need a little bit of life.
