Drains
I'm posting this during the first few minutes of the Wimbledon final, and Murray has just broken Federer's service. Let's see how it develops. Another blipper has put the issues raised really well, so I'll leave it at that. But I do want to give it my full attention so this will be brief.
This is a blip to record something, not a snap. We walked down the Water of Leith this morning to have brunch with some friends and we saw plenty of evidence of the mess caused by the floods and heavy rain yesterday. The earth around two manhole covers on drains has been blown away, leaving a really messy and smelly detritus all around. Hopefully the Council will see it and do something to help sort out the mess. Lots of wet wipes in evidence. One does wonder what people put down toilets, despite all instructions not to do so...
Mind you, the river is going down quite quickly. During the time we were in the Roseleaf, it went down about 6 inches. It's such a short water course - goes up and down really quickly.
