J is for......

John Rylands Library.

Another Neo Gothic victorian building.
I do love the intricate detail.
Mrs Enriqueta Augustina Rylands had it built in memory of her husband John.
It took nine years to build and opened in 1900.
This woman had serious money as the equivelent building cost at 2005 values was £48 million!!!!!!!!!!!!

The library is part of the University and is equally fabbie inside with collections which contain illuminated medieval manuscripts among many other treasures.

You will have to excuse me not doing it justice tonight but I have a headache and am sooooooo tired.
