Keep Fat Curry Night
Our last Keep Fat session of the Summer Term was celebrated in the time-honoured manner with the traditional visit to the Halfway House in Pitney, a legendary real ale pub (numerous ales straight from the barrel) which also does a fine line in home cooked curries (amongst other culinary delights). It's the sort of pub where they still have cheese on the bar and hand round free roast potatoes on Sunday lunchtimes and where the log fires are burning winter and summer. The dilapitidated appearance of the pub sign is matched by the interior decor: a proper pub!
Having to back blip this due to:
a) our daughter, Kate, having to be taken to A&E for emergency eye treatment (hopefully all under control now)
b) issues with our internet connection which meant nearly 2 hours on the phone in order to get reconnected
c) attendance at said Curry Night and late, rather merry, return.
