An Abundance of Grace

Rain is grace; rain is the sky descending to the earth; without rain, there would be no life.
(John Updike)

Surprise, surprise, it has been raining again. This is a raindrop on one of the finials of the fence around All Saints Church, Langley Park. You can see the whole church reflected in it!

I try very hard to remember that we need rain - that it is essential to us. But sometimes you can have too much of a good thing! That doesn't apply to everything of course. That is where the above analogy falls down - there can never be too much grace. I can understand why these guys might have more reason than us to think of rain as beautiful, though!
