Exploring Trastevere

As well as picking a few big things we wanted to see while we were in Rome, we also wanted to spend some time just wandering (bumbling?) around the area where we were staying. Haze found a fantastic B and B, walking distance to most of the main sites, but wonderfully quiet and relaxed.

On Sunday we explored Porta Portese market and then had a great lunch, this is the view up and to the right of where I sat! After lunch we went and looked around St Maria in Trastevere Church and found an ice cream shop - the bonus for me was that all their fruit ice creams were milk free, so I could indulge too.

The heat also increased today...a three shower day.

If only more Sundays were like this one.
