baby oystercatcher.
This is our latest "inmate"... Quite a cutie. I have never seen a baby one of these. The South Island Pied Oystercatcher is a common inhabitant of our shore and rivers---Description It chatters to us all the time. It is a challenge to try and feed. We have made it an area with driftwood, shells, sea water puddles and we add some live crabs. It does know it is meant to poke around.
