On the way to Reykjavík
(Backblip)
Today we drove to Reykjavík. Then we'll be able to spend Sunday in the capital before going to Paris on Monday.
It was very warm and it got really hot in the car. We stopped for refreshments in Hvammstangi (where I lived from 1998-2001) and then again in Borgarnes for icecream. Phew... funny how Iceland can also be so very warm sometimes!
I took a few photos on the way, mostly just snapping through the car window, like I did with this one. This is Hraun in Öxnadalur where one of Iceland's most famous poets and writers was born. His name was Jónas Hallgrímsson.
