Cracking up ...
16C with variable cloud cover, but bright and feeling warm in little breeze. Not quite T-shirt weather today though.
More golf watching on telly ... still compulsory isn't it :-)
Morning in Broughty Ferry as Apothecary7 had her day off today. Caffe Nero.
We had our walk with Maeve the Deerhound before lunch as usual on such days and a pleasant walk it was too. We managed to cross the dumped compost on the shore side of the level crossing easily enough. It looks like the people who like to walk along the beach (in either direction) and their dogs aren't going to give up this route without trying to keep it open as there were plenty of footprints through the area where the tractors have dumped and chopped up the raspberry canes and old strawberry plants with their associated compost. It would be a pity to lose this access point to the beach.
When we got to the Fishermen's huts we saw one of the men was up on a roof with half of the roof material stripped off. A busy day for him replacing corrugated iron. Then painting no doubt. He painted his boat a lot in the last few weeks. Perhaps he is replacing the roof so he can do some more painting. We did notice that he slipped and almost fell off the roof as we passed by, but we didn't let on we had seen !
Another upturned boat, this one well hidden away at the back of the beach beside the first of the gardens belonging to the cottages, provided the blip today. The beginnings of cracks are showing in the paint over the fibreglass and interesting things are happening :-)
More golf watching on telly ... it will be that way until Sunday evening !
