Surviving

Wonderful walk today to the waterfall and ruined settlement in a high cwm, above Jane's farm at Derryclogher in the Borlin valley. Freespiral and himself were with us, still game for another hike after their epic 16k. walk of yesterday! The light was stunning, the river sparkled and the grey rocks were highlighted against the very green fernane grass. I had decided on my blip and went looking for this lone Hawthorn tree, which has survived, albeit rather stunted and twisted, against all the odds! So this blip is for earthdreamer who fell in love with this little tree and blipped it here back in April, in very different weather conditions!
We visited Jane's meadow of blueberries on the way down the mountain and managed to find enough ripe ones for a little feast!
