North Cape
The Internet has many photographs taken at the North Cape, and none of mine can match them. For a start, sun was hiding behind a cloud. And anyway, we were not there at midnight. (In this latitude, sunset is on July 31, so we would still have been able to see it. Still, on our journey back South, we should be passing the North Cape at about 12pm, so there may be a last opportunity).
So I decided to blip these two Trolls found in the Nordkapp Hall.
Then, back in Honnigsvag - just beside the ship - we found Seadog Bamse. He is a Collie who was on board a Norwegian ship which escaped from the German occupation in 1940. He served throughout the war on this ship, which was based in Montrose. We are told that this statue faces Montrose, and that in Montrose there is an identical one, facing Honnigsvag. I must learn more about Bamse.
