Lone lily

This lochan is about 5 mins away from my house but it is along a wee minor road that I rarely use. Spotted the lillies on it last week but the weather was not good so have been waiting patiently for a nice day to blip them.

Today was destined to be the day.... for as I looked out the watering can and emptied some old dirty water out of it, a toad fell out on to the gravel!! (I nearly keeled over with fright and I am sure the toad wasnt too happy with the situation either!!!) Anyway as there is no water in or near my garden I popped it in a box, grabbed the cameras and my wellies and off I went to deposit said toad by the lochan.

Toad seemed happy with the wet marshing ground and I was very happy blipping away by the lochan. Trouble was I had too many shots to choose from in the end! I will definitely be back as it was such a perfect spot for cameras, sitting and daydreaming!
