Santa and a pipe band

This evening was the fantastic event of the turning on of the village Christmas lights. Complete with a pipe band, a horse drawn carriage, and life sized snowman. Great! Lots of indecipherable speeches, a small child who kept wandering off (I suspect in search of the sweets that were being handed out), a huge official button that turned on the lights, and a grande finale of two fireworks. Brilliant.
