Upstairs in Shearers

This is a lovely old shop in Kirkwall. They sell everything, from grass seed to oil lamp wicks! At this time of the year they decorate upstairs with lots of old bits and pieces from their past, have a roaring fire, a cosy chair and carols playing. From the begining of December, folk you meet always ask you, "Have you been upstairs in Shearers yet?" Lots of lovely food, interesting, unusual and exotic treats for Christmas. Very tempting but managed to get out without spending too much. Bought myself a new icing syringe to decorate the cake, some festive shaped cookie cutters and a lovely Christmas tree!
