Llanthony Show: The Woollen Line

We spent the day at The Llanthony Show, a lovely local show with sheep and horses and sack races and all sorts. There is so much to show that I have posted a set of pictures in my blipfolio.

This picture needs a bit of explanation. The Woollen Line is a project imagined and realised by an artist friend of ours who is very concerned about the environment. Her response to the severe erosion of the peat on some of our local hilltops has been to lay a line (now several) of sheep's wool in an attempt to get vegetation growing up there again. And it's working!
