Bring your own straw

We actually had two large white butterflies flirting around the lavender today. At least I thought it was flirting, until I noticed they were both females and one was trying to chase the other one away from her lavender.

For an insect with such strange eyes, it was a little surprising that it could spot the other one from a good three metres away.

Some places have had a lot of rain in the last day or so and we got our share this evening with a fast moving thunderstorm and some heavy rain. Just the drips left now.
