Ploughed Field of View

Haddington, Garvald and the Fife coast under the northern sky, with Ursa Major ("The Plough") hanging above. I was camping in a field above Garvald at a place the map calls "Broomy Brae Plantation", which I chose for the view and shelter from the wind. A great spot.

I took the good camera and tripod in case I could get some shots of the Perseid meteor shower. 500 photographs later and I didn't have any meteors (although I did see a few), but this view in the opposite direction was pretty good I thought.

It was a great night out, checking the kit for a bigger trip in a few weeks. More on the camping tomorrow...
