Paulownia tomentosa

Big trees with big flowers. Used on farms for shade for animals.
There is a very good specimen at the high school next door and it hangs over the fence so an easy blip.
The flowers mauve and that was a bit difficult to get right especially as in the shade. Masses of blooms and looking very lovely.
I went to the Plant Barn today and got some shrubs for down the back yard where we have lots of gaps. Always fun trying to decide. Have gone natives but a variety of colours, shapes and leaf sizes but all within the 2 metre height range.
Otherwise walked, did some extra cleaning as its spring, went visiting, had a visitor - the day has disappeared.
