Getting there!

This canvas has been on the frame for several years, but I’ve had a little burst of action on it recently. The frame is ancient and a bit rickety so keeping the canvas square is impossible. I’m only able to see the different colours of the flowers in natural light, so it’s a daytime job.
 
There are only two flowers left to be completed, the yellow and blue on the right hand side, then it’s the stems and leaves, and the background. I will have to stretch and block it to square it up before making it into a cushion cover.
 
I have another kit in the cupboard, so I think that I will need a new frame to manage it.
 
A dull day with a bit of drizzle. We needed the lights on at 3pm……..grim!!!
