Dusty Miller on a plastic platter

The platter is plastic, but the surface is slightly translucent, so the leaves float. The leaves are fuzzy, the plastic smooth. The little orange lights are bits of plastic embedded in a darker ground. It seems to me one thing is out of harmony with the other. They don't get along well.
