Meet ms. X

Actually she and the photographer met somewhere in America about 160 years ago.

How many of our millions of blips exist after 160 years.

Our colour prints and slides from 1980s and 1990s are already fading . And if you have the (colour) negatives they are fading, too. Bw-prints (and negatives), if they were well made, are good. So we have photos of our parents grandparents in our albums.

If you take daily 20 exposures for your blip, after one year you´ll have 6000 pictures in your file.
My advice to myself, which I´m going to follow from tomorrow (have been for 5 years), is to delete all the not so good pictures the same day and leave maybe 5 /day. And at the end of the week to look through files and delete the not so good pictures and leave maybe 10/week. And at the end of the year to save all photos which are left to CD, or DVD of Blueray. And every 3 years to save all the pictures with new methods of saving
And to print of the best photos by pigment colours on acid-free paper. They will last 50 or even 150 years.

So it´s up to our grandchildren to decide, if they want to save those photos for their grandchildren.
