The Dower House, Corstorphine

I often pass the the Dower House on my way home and normally it is floodlit. But on this occasion it is lit by the orange sodium street lights of Corstorphine High Street.

There's been a building standing here since the 16th century but its current character is a hotch-potch of variations and additions. It still has the Scottish crow-stepped gables though. The House is now owned by Edinburgh council and houses the Corstorphine Heritage Trust.
