St Ives After The Rain

Today was our final full holiday day and it was chucking it down, so we headed into St Ives to sit in a cafe and watch the world go by in its waterproofs and sandals.
Fortunately the rain eased off after lunch and we were able to mooch about in slightly more comfort. I have also discovered a new pottering hobby - pottery painting. We went to collect the others from their afternoon session and I just seemed to end up sitting down and having a go myself, which turned into about two hours of blissful and engrossing painting.
People always talk about the amazing light in St Ives and they are right. I have never seen anything like it, hence the rather predictable St Ives view for today's blip. It had to be done.
