Az Day 2: The road to Sedona

Arizona Trip Backblips:

So we picked up the RVs and after a few adventures such as returning rental cars and all getting split up etc we set off for Sedona.

While up in the mountains north of Phoenix we got in a traffic jam. People got out of their cars and were walking around. A guy I talked to said he had heard on the radio that a truck several miles ahead was on fire, which they had put out but now the road itself was on fire. As the sun was going down there were some great reticulated layers of shadow forming across the nearby mountains so I took a few shots of it.

It was quite odd being on top of a mountain in lines of traffic with people wandering about. After a couple of hours the truck was cleared and we got moving, reaching the campsite after nightfall.
