Fireplace at The Hill House

While at a meeting today at The Hill House I took a few photographs of the mosaic fireplace in the Drawing Room.

I love the way Mackintosh uses design and colour in such a bold way. It is so modern and hard to believe that it is more than 100 years old.

What an absolute pleasure to spend time in this beautiful building.
