Portland Bill Lighthouse

Dorset holiday backblip- Day 2

This morning we drove onto Portland 'island', parked the car in the middle and cycled to the lighthouse. Only about 2.5 miles but fine for Cameron's first ever cycle on a real road. It was dry when we started but torrential rain after about 10 minutes and while we wandered round the lighthouse and the visitor centre. Then a soggy 2.5M cycle back. Amazingly though the boys didn't complain.
Then we went to the Portland museum- interesting and some cool fossils- and then back over to Weymouth to go to the sand sculpture place which had some very impressive sculptures.
