Frogmore Street, Abergavenny

This is part of the main shopping street of Abergavenny, looking towards what is rather grandiosely called the West End. The Oxfam shop, where I work as a volunteer on Thursday afternoons, is just out of shot on the left. I work on the till, which is good fun. I like being a (very part-time) shop girl, after years of pushing paper in offices in my working life. I work with another volunteer on the till and there are usually one or two others at work sorting the donations (books, clothes etc). It's a good team.

The bunting in the street was put up for the Jubilee, and I suppose will stay until the end of the Olympics. Or maybe until our Food Festival. Or Christmas. Who knows?
