Walk Into Cardiff

Mrs BB wanted to return some items and buy some more things so we decided to walk into Cardiff City Centre from LLandaff.

On passing Coopers Field (Fields behind Cardiff Castle) it was like a mini city was being built with temporary buildings and marquees everywhere, together with high fences and security. From the blipfoto you can see a crane leaning over the castle wall and more structures being built inside.

A security man stated it was all for the EUFA Champions Cup Final (Final on 3rd June 2017) with the VIP's being in the castle and others in Coopers Field in Bute Park. It seems money is no object. I was contacted  for 5 days work driving VIP's around, on very good money, but won't be here so had to decline. I'll be watching the final in the sun!

The structure inside the castle is an icon of Wales and is the Norman motte and bailey (1091AD) from which you can climb to the top and take in the view over the city and towards The Bristol Channel.
