Houblon's Harvest
Today was the hop harvest. The hop plants are new this year, one fuggle one east kent goldings. They each produced just under 40g of hops, which was enough to use as aroma hops in the new beer. I used dried hops for the bittering and while these were boiling harvested the aroma hops which went in the brew kettle for the last 10 mins only about 20 mins after they were picked. You can't get much fresher than that. We still have a a few flowers on the plant to use for dry hopping.
The last brew "Wiggo's Gold" is drinking well
