Twitchers

For the sixth day running, twitchers descended on the Butts Hide at Rainham Marshes to see the Baillion's crake - or crakes, because after this day's appearance, the impression was that there might be more than one.

Among this crowd, I have only subsequently discovered, was RedCoatedBirder, who captured the rare bird in action for his 500th. Small world.
