What a fabulous Saturday!

I had a lovely lazy morning, listening to D beavering away downstairs to a little bit of Bebop.

The girls were home for lunch and we all headed down the road to celebrate the Open Day at Emmaus*.

It was great! Live music, we hung out with Terry Waite, the girls got loads of books, I fell deeply in love with a 50's table that was a bit out of my price range and Eve got her face painted.

We bought some raffle tickets...as usual I told the girls not to get their hopes up as we probably wouldn't win...but we did!

Eve and I popped down later in the afternoon to pick up our NEW TV! The girls are thrilled because they can watch films in their room now. And Lily can have it in hers when she's home.

Tonight we met friends and their children and we all went to the fair, I reckon it's about the 38th time I've been over the years! It's really nice Mossley tradition.
We split up for some rides...got together on others...J loved the bumper cars while E opted for the Jump n Smile as her fave! BLIP.

They hooked a duck, got candyfloss and then we all got a chippy tea to warm our bones against the icy dark night.

Chilled evening with Dan playing chess with Eve, Jeanne engrossed in Minecraft while I soaked in the bath with a glass of Rose.

Good times and amazing memories...and the delicious knowledge that there are plenty more to come.

*Emmaus is just down the road and offers a home and work to previously homeless and unemployed people, financed by collecting and selling donated goods. A worthwhile cause and really wonderful people
