Cataloguing injuries #raptorcamp

The guy you can see in the background is Nik.

He organises everything to do with our work.

I'm not sure that he has to, but he also personally catalogues each birds injuries.

There are a small team of interns that also support Birdlife Malta.

They also get up at 5am, and are, even as I type, going though reams of footage that teams are bringing back.

I've been here two weeks.

At its peak, I think RaptorCamp had 65 of us. Tomorrow we will be less than 30 in the morning, and less than 25 in the evening.

Come Monday it will be Nik and a small dedicated band of staff for the remainder of the hunting season.
