Triffid?
I met RedFlash for coffee this afternoon. Very enjoyable it was too. On my way to meet her I stopped off in Queen Eleanor's Garden to see what there was to blip. This caught my eye.
This is a dahlias about to open, but I like the way the furled petals look like teeth.
A triffid is a tall, mobile, carnivorous, prolific and highly venomous fictional plant species the novel The Day of the Triffids. Since then the word "triffid" has become a popular British English colloquial term used to describe large or menacing looking plants.
