Dung beetles

These critters perform a very important role in cleaning up animal faeces; either burying it or using it as a food source and breeding chambers. Out in the game park this afternoon I came across several on a zebra pile; they get quite territorial and I watched as there were several fights.  I only saw one actually make a ball and try to run it off - such a pretty colour and so small compared to the black ones that I had to blip it!  Sadly no yellow though.
