The light was lovely this morning and the colours of the leaves were just magic.

Had a meeting with the Agentur für Arbeit today and that went as well as ever :
Agentur für Arbeit Lady : Are you still looking for work?
Me : Yes.
A.f.A.L : Well, good luck with that. I hope you find some.

Still it was only half an hour out of the day and she is a very nice woman.

Today also the arrival of a Zertifikat for my Integrationskurs (the German history and society one) and a very nice letter from the Bundesamt saying they would send me some money for not being stupid.

The letter was signed by the same woman who processed my application way back in March 2011. I should send her a note to say thank you.

Your bit of German learning for today is not something you'd learn in Schule. For those with delicate sensibilities, stop reading now. The newspaper Bild is responsible for teaching me this word. Anyway, when you flip someone the bird or show someone the middle finger, this is known in German as der Stinkefinger. To pronounce is correctly you have to say it a lot like Sean Connery's James Bond would, so "Shtink - e - fing - er" with that middle "e" like the one in "egg".
