Bygone Bridge

Back blip for yesterday. Took this as I was driving north to participate in the Hunterville 100km fun ride. It's the old Opiki suspension bridge, closed in 1969. The chimney you can see was just a chimney back in 1969 too, which I found from some old photos on Google, of an old flax mill from the 1920's.

My father in law has a framed photo of this bridge that he took years ago at sunset which is absolutely stunning but I was there at 1pm. Jim 1 - Brendan 0
