Work complete

The stove fitter came to finish the job cementing the mantel beam and metal edging in place. I am very pleased with the room now it is finished. I made another vat of soup for the freezer, this time broccoli and Stilton. By way of celebration Charlie came round in the afternoon for tea and cake and we put the world to rights while I sorted out a wreck of a clock of his which he assured me has huge sentimental value!
