' Dial 999 Jay, I've set your roof on fire!'

We had some work done today on our roof and the roofer had a little accident with some chemicals and a there was a little explosion and a fire.

A crazy 15 minutes followed with me trying to call the Fire Brigade but asking for an Ambulance in panic. Fortunately a passer by called the Fire Brigade coherently and 2 Fire trucks turned up.

Luckily I had a proper fire extinguisher which I gave to the roofer and he was able to put it out before my whole roof went up.

The Fire Service were brilliant with their ladders and heat cameras and monitored the 'hotspots' until they faded.

No harm done, accidents happen.
