White Butterbur

Some local woodland had never been managed and rhododendron was starting to take over in parts. This winter, there has been a major operation to improve the site to encourage a more diverse community.

This white butterbur - Petasites alba has always been there but I don't know if it will turn out to be one of the winners or losers. I have not undertaken any scientific survey, so any changes that I may note in future will be entirely subjective.
