Look, identify and log.

These are the books I take absolutely everywhere with me when I'm out walking in the UK, be it up a great big hill or just along the canal.

I find it very difficult to see something and not know what it is quickly! I'm not alone I'm sure.

I need one on water plants and I've been looking for one for yonks. There appears not to exist a pocket guide to freshwater macroflora of the UK/ Western Europe. I do have a cracking guide from the Field Studies Council though but it only lists twenty-odd plants.

If anyone knows of one, please shout. Cheers.
