Mere Sands Wood Nature Reserve

Had a great day out today with Sue and Carrie, who I originally met on the Lakeland Photography Holiday in August. (You can see photos of that here.)

After morning coffee we spent a good couple of hours of photography in Mere Sands Wood Nature Reserve. "The voice" was also in our minds as we concentrated on what we were doing. I have a few shots that I am happy to keep. There was quite a bit of different fungi around. We went in some of the hides but the wildlife wasn't in the mood for photography. I decided to offer this for blip today so you get an idea of the place itself.

We got to the pub for lunch just as it started raining. There was then a torrential downpour including hailstones so we just sat and chatted for the rest of the afternoon. A great day!
