Where the woozle wasn't

Pawprints left by Sadie (aka Mrs Woo, aka the Woozle), just made me think of the chapter about the Woozle in Winne the Pooh.

Winne the Pooh was one of my favourite books as a child and the illustrations by EH Shepard still have a resonance. Illustration from woozle chapter

It's funny that I have ended up making my home on the edge of the Ashdown forest which is where 100 Aker wood is (see here ) ..... maybe Sadie really is the woozle...!
