Commemoration

Another panel from the History Post in Cocking, this time commemorating WW1. It was almost too high up the post for me to reach. Fifteen men from the village lost their lives between 1914 and 1918. It's a wonderfully constructed panel, I especially like the way the hat on the rifle stands proud. I wonder which villager moulded this scene?

I'm going to take a break for a couple of weeks. Just need to catch up on myself after the recent house move Etc Etc. As I won't be here on 11/11, thought I'd post my tribute now. See you all soon, and thank you so much for sticking with me and being supporting during a trying time.
