In the Post
When chessmen write their Christmas cards
it isn't quickly done,
for each and every chessman
must post off thirty-one:
a card for every single piece
on their side and the other;
at Christmas time all look upon
each other as a brother -
or sister, as the queens say
- then they're off to form a queue,
to post their merry greetings,
all nine-hundred-and-ninety-two.
The next day they're delivered,
one whole sackful, to the board,
where the chessmen cheerfully open up
their happy Christmas hoard.

This is the latest in my chessmen series. The most recent of which you can see here! For those who've asked if I'm ever likely to produce a book of the chessmen's adventures, the answer is, Yes! I have!
There is no pressure whatsoever to buy one, however much you enjoy their episodes, but if you want a preview, follow the link that's on my 'About' page. Suffice it to say, I am pleased with it and it's solved all the family Crimbo pressie indecision this year! ;-)
And, by the way, cold though it is, it's not snowed here for real - yet!
