Wasteful Society

During the course of work today I had occasion to fit new window catches to a number of windows, actually 6, and this is the surplus material that was provided with the catches. The amount of work that has gone into producing these apart from the material itself all for it to be thrown away because these weren't needed.
The only saving grace was that it will go into the scrap bin and be converted into a more productive material i.e. cash!!
