Wreck Bay

We stayed in the Booderee National Park in Jervis Bay Territory for two days. Technically it is Canberra-on-sea. Where we stayed was was relatively isolated - 25 minutes down an unmade road through the forest to our accommodation just behind this great sweeping beach. It was a beautiful spot and the beach was almost deserted. Though we did meet an Australian couple down from Brisbane, who had been to England and knew of our little village here in Jane Austen country because they had visited friends in one of the adjacent villages. Small world indeed.

I had high hopes of swimming here as the water was warm and clear. Alas it was also infested with Blue Bottle Jellyfish.
