Fallen Angel

It was the tape in the Evesham Road Cemetery that caught my eye this morning whilst I was out with Dylan on his morning walk. I thought they must be digging a new grave, though this is the old part of the cemetery, then I realised the usual angel was not there. In fact she was lying face down having either fallen, or been pushed, off her plinth.

The monument is part of the grave of Marie Corelli, a famous novelist who lived in Stratford upon Avon. I took this photo back in July, I think her gesture sums up the sort of strong spirited woman she was!

I didn't have chance to take too many photos as Dylan kept insisting on bringing me bones he kept finding, such a pest ;-)
